EXCELLING IN LEARNING FOREIGN LANGUAGES TIP#1: STUDYING TECHNIQUES
Learning Foreign Language in Bhubaneswar |
Learning a completely new language isn’t an easy task, especially when you’re doing it for the first time. But once you agree to give it time & patience, it will be like a plant growing into a tall tree over due course of time, shooting across the sky.
Today,
at Mr. Class we’re digging deeper about simple habits you must adopt in order
to excel in foreign language learning classes in Bhubaneswar:
1.
Regular Studies: Just like the schooldays,
you need to make time for at least an hour in analysing and understanding the
lessons taught in the class. Through this you not only build your confidence,
but also succeed in training your brain about a new dialect that it can start
to better on its own.
2.
Time Management: Once you’re in the first
step, you also need to distribute time to each aspect of learning a new
language, i.e. Reading, Writing, Grammar, Vocabulary, etc. and staying ahead of
the class or sometimes learning a bit extra on the context will only make you
more fluent in the language. Engage yourself for the first 15 minutes in
grammar, the next in vocabulary and the rest in comprehension is a good way to
start.
3.
Being Regular in
Participating: Many a times during the second step, students feel that they may do
better if they study at home, but it will be counter-productive as staying at
home keeps you away from all the group discussions and group exercises that are
done in the class which are important for the long haul memory.
4.
Learning to be Comfortable
in the Classroom: This is a step that materialises through time, as it
directly depends on the previous steps. The more regular you’re in your studies
and classes, the easier it is to make yourself at ease. The trainers can help
if you discuss your fears and weaknesses with them regarding the lessons, as it
will plunge a different perception and guidance to the problems from the
teacher.
5.
Brushing up Grammar: Many students may feel
that they need to revisit the grammar classes to brush it more as it builds the
foundation of any language. Feel free to do so, and don’t hesitate to discuss
with your trainer as it’s also a part of the course.
6.
Practising for Test: Similar to step 2, this
is the stage where your interim focus are the tests ahead and as soon as you’re
familiar with the language, solving a few test papers can help you get rid of
the fear as well as serve as a good litmus test clearly stating which areas you
need to focus more.
7.
Developing a Good
Attitude:
Having a right attitude can make you flourish while having a wrong one can make
you rot, even if you’ve followed each step correctly. Since it all depends on
your attitude and calmness, sometimes trying too hard doesn’t lead you
anywhere.
