Tips to Improve Your Spoken English!
Spoken English Learning Tips |
“Words
don’t come easy,” right?
You
have memorized endless lists of vocabularies; you have enough knowledge of
grammar needed to hold any conversation but still, you’re facing difficulties
in expressing yourself. Is it? That’s normal. Everyone is an eloquent speaker
while it comes to mother tongue but speaking in foreign language won’t be same.
Well! My first tip is to not get too hung up on trying to speak like a native
speaker because you can never learn piano if you will attempt to sound like a
Mozart initially. Here I go with some more tips by which you can develop your English speaking skills.
Speak
slowly, speak clearly
Are
you hesitant to speak with your seniors due to lack of confidence in your
English speaking skills? Are you just starting to learn how to speak English fluently? Then, here’s my advice. Don’t
worry about the accent much. You aren’t up for a role in film? So slow down your speed of talking a bit, so
that people will be able to understand you and you can get your pronunciations
right too. There’s not a magic pill to improve your English instantly. So have
some patience and slowly develop your confidence to express yourself.
Take
some time to think
Get
over your fear of making mistakes instantly. To err is human! People often
prefer well-thought-out answer over quick ones. So relax! Clear the
misconception from your head that people, with whom you’re having a
conversation, are impatient. Take a
considerable amount of time to reflect upon what you say. Have conversations
with yourself and also try to translate your thoughts as much as possible. This
way you can become more fluent in English.
Music
and movies for your rescue
Start
listening to English songs and sing along which is one of the best methods to
develop your spoken English. That
will also help you develop your pronunciations and in memorizing different
vocabularies. Do you love watching movies? Then pay attention to the idioms,
phrases, vocabularies, accent they use. You will rapidly develop your spoken
English skills. This is so far the most interesting tip to develop your English
I guess, Isn’t it?
